Are Lindsays the firm for you? You have read all about us on the website and think we seem like good potential employers but how can you be sure?

Why not take five minutes to complete this quiz and find out the answer to whether this is the ideal place for you to do your traineeship.

1. Imagine you are stranded on a desert island with a group of other people. Do you:

A. Nominate yourself as leader and decide how the island should, in your view, be run? B. Crawl and hide under a stone as you cannot bear mixing with other people? C. Work with the others to come up with a solution that gets all of you off the island using innovative ideas and playing to everyone’s individual strengths?

2. When you have been in a position that put you in front of the general public, have you:

A. Treated every potential client or customer as an inferior being who is very lucky that you are even giving them the time of day? B. Mumbled when talking, avoided looking anyone in the eye and kept any conversation as brief as possible? C. Taken the time to speak to each and every person, recognising that they are all individuals in their own right who need the service you are there to provide to be tailored to their particular needs?

3. How would you rate your communication skills?

A. Excellent. When lecturing the less intelligent I know they wish they could speak as coherently as me. B. Um, err, ah... C. I can communicate my views clearly but I also listen to what others have to say.

4. You are on a committee to organise the next Faculty Ball. How do you approach the task?

A. Your primary focus is to make sure that you prepare your speech and you don’t really care what else happens. B. You are just waiting to be told what to do and have no idea what should be done first. C. You know that there is a direct correlation between the amount of effort put into the organisation of an event and its success. So very soon after being appointed to the committee you all know what needs to be done and when it needs to be done by.

5. How would you describe your image?

A. Immaculate. The reflection from my highly polished shoes/jewellery would blind you. B. Remember Swampy the eco-warrior?.. C. It varies but I am always clean and I know how to dress appropriately according to each occasion.

6. Describe your ideal place of work?

A. I want to work for one of the biggest firms so that I feel I get the recognition I deserve. B. I would be so grateful for a job - I don’t mind where I work. C. I would like to join a dynamic and growing firm that I know will stretch me whilst supporting me in developing my own skills.

7. You enter a room full of strangers. After two hours have you;

A. Identifed that you are vastly superior to everyone there and left? B. Never made it past the drinks table and now find yourself unable to walk in a straight line or talk coherently? C. Managed to meet a number of really good potential contacts, exchanged cards and left with the promise of work to come?
