The firm has moved up in the Legal 500 rankings in four key areas – employment, charities, family law, and commercial property – and has gained a ranking in banking and finance for the first time. The positive ranking of all of the other areas of the firm’s activity has remained constant.

In total, 15 of the firm’s lawyers have been mentioned positively or recommended - Caroline Loudon; David Lindgren; Iain Atack; Dawn Dickson; Michael Yellowlees; Alastair Keatinge; Lesley Gordon; Alistair Mackie; Alison Atack; John Elliot; David Wood; Leigh Davidson; Derek Nash; Kenny Gray and Linda Barr.

Anonymous quotations from clients used in the Legal 500 rankings include:

  • Caroline Brown (Head of the liquor, licensing and gambling group) is “proactive and enthusiastic”
  • Iain Atack (Head of Employment) is “a pleasure to work with”, while colleague Dawn Dickson is “very knowledgeable”
  • Michael Yellowlees provides “very professional, considered and measured advice” in Agriculture and Estates
  • Within Charities, Head of Team Alastair Keatinge is “a clear sector expert”
  • And in family law, Head of team Lesley Gordon is “an individual of exceptional talent”

The Legal 500 rankings follow hard on the heels of the other major legal ranking, Chambers, which saw Lindsays smash its best previous performance with 15 lawyers recognised as “leading individuals.”

David Reith, Managing Partner, said: “To have so many of our lawyers recognised by an impartial and independent publication for their excellence and for the quality of our service is fantastic.

“To have this view based largely on feedback gained from our clients makes it even more rewarding. It again demonstrates that at Lindsays we have some of the very best people around providing a high quality service day in and day out.”
