The vision is for the Town Hall to become a flexible multi-use facility which is the focus for the community of Moffat and surrounding District, and for visitors to the town. Lindsays will be involved in the transfer of ownership, the acquisition, funding, construction refurbishment and the operational phases of the project.
Alastair Keatinge, Head of Charities said,
“we are delighted to be working with the Trust to redevelop the Town Hall. Our combined charities, corporate, property and construction expertise along with our experience of working on other similar projects will help us to achieve the desired outcomes for the Trust.”
[A spokesman for the Trust commented],
“We were looking for a firm which had significant experience of working with the voluntary sector, and with asset transfer from local authorities on projects of the size of the Town Hall project. We were impressed with Lindsay’s track record on similar projects, and the superb references provided by other groups that have used them.”
Lindsays has been involved in the redevelopment of a number of heritage properties including Rosslyn Chapel, Roslin, Greenlaw Town Hall, Duns, Penicuik House, Penicuik, Liberton Bank House, Edinburgh, Blackburn House, West Lothian and The Hippodrome Cinema, Falkirk.
