Professional experience

Callum Kennedy is a Partner in the Private Client department and has been with Lindsays since 1989. His main focus of work is the administration of estates, trust creation and management, Wills, Tax Planning, Powers of Attorney and Guardianships. He is a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and has an Incidental Financial Business Licence.

He has developed a firm bond with elderly clients, by whom he is trusted for managing their affairs carefully and sympathetically. He also acts for many of our agricultural and estates clients specialising on tax planning and mitigation for farmers and happily travels to our Jedburgh office each week to provide face-to-face practical advice and assistance.

In addition, Callum assists many clients in the running of charities. He manages private charitable trusts and deals with governance, legal and investment matters.

Credential highlights

  • Management of the Reekie Trust, which recently agreed to fund new research at the Western General Hospital’s Breast Cancer Unit and which has made substantial grants in support of the Erskine Hospital and Age Concern Edinburgh
  • Clerk to the Governors of the Lothian Houses Trust which seeks to provide practical training and support for young people through its Bridges Project.
