Professional experience

Chris Hardie’s conveyancing experience covers residential and rural purchases and sales all over Scotland, as well as agricultural and estate property. He has successfully acted for clients who have bought Sporting Estates and Salmon Fishings and acted in one of the first sales of a Highland Estate to the local community who were assisted with Lottery Funding.

Chris runs the Residential Conveyancing team that deals with purchases, sales, remortgages, transfers of title and security works for leases in respect of properties through out Scotland. Having dealt in complex and high value transactions, Chris is bang up to date on developments in conveyancing including Automated Registration of Title online. Chris is a committee member of the Edinburgh Conveyancers Forum which has drafted Standard Clauses for residential offers for use by solicitors in Glasgow and Edinburgh, designed to speed up the process, concluding transactions successfully.
