Professional experience
Gail is a Director in our Commercial Property group. She has a wide variety of experience in commercial property and construction transactions involving nursing homes, retail outlets, offices, industrial premises, licensed premises, petrol stations and development sites. Her clients range from large UK franchisors to small private businesses.
Gail has specialised in franchising for a number of years now and acts for franchisors and franchisees. Attaining dual qualification now allows her to represent franchisors in matters south of the border. She has spearheaded the development of our franchising team and we are now affiliated members of the British Franchise Association, for which Gail is the lead contact.
Credential highlights
- Acting in leasing and back to back sub-leasing of retail premises for all the Scottish premises of a UK Franchisor with over 100 outlets in the UK. Representation has now extended to include their English premises.
- Representing a client in the sale of their caravan park and dealing with environmental issues arising during the course of the transaction.
- Representing factors in title issues concerning common parts.
- Assisting clients in the property aspects associated with the refinancing of their business.
- Advising and assisting clients in disputed terms of their lease.
- Representing lenders in protecting their interest in security-based property transactions.
