Professional experience

Gregory is an Associate in our Commercial Property group and a member of our Banking and Finance team. He has specialist experience in banking and in particular, secured lending and property finance, gained in acting for a number of domestic and offshore banks (including all of Scotland’s major lenders). He also provides advice on general banking and security matters and funding/facility arrangements.

Credential highlights

• The preparation and negotiation of an offer of £39 million working capital/revolving credit loan facilities by a Scottish bank to a FTSE-listed company and related group companies.
• Acting on behalf of a major Scottish educational establishment in the securing to the trustees of its staff pension scheme, various buildings with a value of approximately £100 million, as collateral for future pension contributions to be made by the establishment.
• Acting for a Scottish bank in connection with the rolling acquisition/securing of 200 Scottish properties in a cross-border portfolio of residential properties where total funding was over £120 million.
• Acting for an Irish bank in relation to the Scottish property/security issues arising in connection with the proposed administration of a cross-border group of companies, with total bank debts exceeding £33 million.
