Professional experience
John is a Director in our Family Law team. He is one of only eight solicitors in Scotland to hold the double accreditation in both Child Law and Family Law. John has more than 30 years' experience in these spheres, representing clients in the Court of Session and in the Sheriff Courts all round Scotland.
He lectures widely to audiences of lawyers in Scotland and in England and frequently appears in the media, speaking on Family Law matters, including Child Support, Cohabitation Rights and Forced Marriage.
John is the General Editor of the Butterworth Scottish Family Law Service and a former Chairman of Child Support and Social Security Appeal Tribunals.
