Professional experience

Julie is an Associate in our Employment team. She appears regularly at Tribunals in both Scotland and England and has also appeared at the Employment Appeal Tribunal. Julie represents a mix of both employers and employees at Tribunals giving her a balanced and commercial outlook from both perspectives. She frequently offers advice and guidance on drafting documentation (contracts, policies, disciplinary and grievance procedures, restrictive covenants) and thereafter advises on their implementation.

Julie regularly provides training sessions and seminars, which clarify the realities of employment law in an informal environment, enabling attendees to implement legislation effectively in the workplace.

Credential highlights

• Successfully defended a number of large employers regarding discrimination claims on the basis of sex, race, disability, religion and belief.
