Professional experience

Lesley heads Lindsays’ award-winning family law team. Lesley is accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in family law. She has specialised in family law for the last eighteen years and is considered one of the foremost experts in this area within Scotland. She has a wide breadth of experience in all aspects of family law and has both a contentious and non contentious practice. Lesley deals principally with the financial issues arising on the formation or breakdown of relationships including those involving an international dimension, companies, tax or pensions issues.

Lesley is firmly committed to family law as evidenced by her involvement within the sector. This includes sitting on the national committee of the Scottish Collaborative Family Law Group, acting as Court reporter in child law cases and she was also a former committee member and secretary for the Family Law Association. In addition, Lesley is also on the panel of Safeguarders and Curators ad Litem in East Lothian and has had regular appointments in that capacity in applications for parental responsibilities orders and adoptions.

Lesley is recommended in the 2012 edition of the Chambers & Partners UK directory as a 'Leader in her Field'.

  • Acting regularly in Guardianship and Intervention Order applications under the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000.
