Our expanding range of corporate and commercial services, which include company law, corporate finance, intellectual property, technology, employment, charity law, commercial property and construction, enjoy an excellent reputation in the marketplace. In addition, our Litigation group deals with all aspects of civil and commercial litigation for a wide variety of clients.
The firm also maintains strong residential property and private client services, the latter linked to an in-house Investment team.
We offer a range of traineeships, which allow our trainees to gain a greater understanding of the services we offer, and also give you the opportunity to develop a degree of specialism which fits your personal skills and interests.
2008 traineeships will involve one full year in two of the following departments Corporate and Technology, Commercial Property or Private Client department. In 2008 there may also be a specialised traineeship available in Commercial Property (incorporating elements of Rural and Construction law). The traineeships on offer will depend on the requirements of each department.

The firm also funds your attendance on a professional competence course co-ordinated by the WS society, helping you to further develop your talents.

Applications
Traineeships are open to graduates with a law degree from Scottish Universities and other qualified persons who have passed the Law Society of Scotland exams. A Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice is essential.
We have filled our trainee requirements for September 2007. However should our trainee requirements change before then we will advertise the vacancies on our website.
Applications for September 2008 will be accepted from June 2006 with the closing date of 31 December 2006. Interviews will take place early in 2007.
