In addition, our expert Litigation group deals with all aspects of civil and commercial litigation for a wide variety of clients.
The firm maintains strong residential property and private client services, the latter linked to an in-house Investment management team.
We offer a range of traineeships, which allow our trainees to gain a deep understanding of Lindsays' varied services, and also provides the opportunity to develop a degree of specialism which fits your personal skills and interests.
Traineeships in our head office in Edinburgh usually involve one full year with our Corporate & Technology department, followed by a year in our Commercial Property or Private Client departments. Traineeships in Glasgow usually consist of one year of Property and one year of Litigation, incorporating Employment Law. We also offer specialised traineeships in Commercial Property (incorporating elements of Rural and Construction Law) and Litigation. In addition, we offer more general traineeships in our Jedburgh office.

Traineeships are open to graduates with a law degree from Scottish Universities and other qualified persons who have passed the Law Society of Scotland exams. A Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice is essential.We have an additional requirement for a trainee starting in September 2009. The traineeship would involve one full year in Commercial Property followed by a year in Corporate & Technology. Applications should be by way of the Traineeship Application form which can be found on the website and the closing date will be 31 October 2008. Interviews will take place at the end of November 2008.
Lindsays will have a number of traineeships available in both Edinburgh and Glasgow from September 2010. Applications for September 2010 will be accepted from June 2008 with the closing date of 31 December 2008. Interviews will take place early in 2009.
