Job title: HR Assistant

Working hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday (35 hours per week) 

Reporting to: HR Business Partner

Your responsibilities 

We have an exciting opportunity for an HR Assistant to join our forward-thinking and dynamic HR team in Edinburgh. You will play a key role in delivering a high-quality HR service within a fast-paced environment, working as part of a small, collaborative and well-integrated team.

Daily tasks and duties include:

  • Timely and accurate completion of HR correspondence and documentation.
  • Updating of HR templates.
  • Holiday administration: calculation of holiday entitlement, dealing with queries and enquiries.
  • Training administration: maintaining the training diary and records, issuing attendance registers and evaluation forms, and organising internal and external training sessions.
  • Administration and maintenance of People Inc system.
  • Managing the HR inbox.
  • Processing daily absences and dealing with associated tasks.
  • Supporting the team with administration relating to the performance review process.
  • Dealing with all administration associated with new starts, leavers, contractual changes and any other changes relating to staff.
  • New Starters: organising induction training and preparing induction packs.
  • Accurate and timely filing of documents on iManage.

Key experience and skills:

  • A strong team worker
  • Highly effective communicator at all levels, both verbal and written
  • Strong IT skills including a sound knowledge of Microsoft packages
  • Excellent numeracy, literacy and strong administration skills
  • Highly organised with a strong track record in balancing multiple priorities and a varied workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Able to display a strong work ethic with a flexible and adaptable approach to work
