A great opportunity has arisen for a litigation solicitor to join the Glasgow team to assist in the provision of a full range of dispute resolution and litigation services. You will be expected to assist the team and advise clients on a wide range of contentious matters including commercial and property litigation, debt recovery and insolvency, with the opportunity to develop a particular specialism over time. You will have a good working knowledge of all forms of Dispute Resolution and can expect to be involved in claims and disputes in the Sheriff Court and Court of Session.
This is a permanent role and is predominantly office based but there will be some element of home working available.
Key responsibilities include:
- The provision of a quality service to clients in all aspects of Dispute Resolution and areas of Litigation practice as may reasonably be required within the Firm.
- The main areas of practice will be commercial and property litigation, contentious private client, debt recovery and insolvency.
- Attendance at Sheriff Courts throughout Scotland as reasonably required.
- Maintaining client contact, meeting with clients and addressing their daily needs and requirements.
- Generate satisfactory level of fee income in accordance with set fee income targets, record all time and fee promptly during and/or on completion of transactions.
- Adhere to monthly fee earner certificate process.
- Keep up to date with developments in the law and regulatory requirements.
- Attending seminars and contributing to external seminars and trade press.
- Promotion of marketing initiatives, including cross selling of the firm’s services
- Active participation in all aspects of Business Development associated with the Firm
