Marks and Clerk is one of the world’s leading intellectual property practices with offices across four continents and professional services covering patent and trade mark attorneys, solicitors and consultants.
The commercial property team members who assisted in the deal were Derek Nash, Partner, Dawn Anderson, Director, Andrew Boccoli, Director (construction matters) and Darren Lightfoot, Solicitor.
Marks and Clerk who have leased the fourth floor east wing of 40 Torphichen Street equating to 4317 square feet took entry on 11 May 2018.
Commenting on the deal Dr Paul Chapman, Marks and Clerk’s Edinburgh office managing partner said: “We are excited by the opportunities that will be afforded by this contemporary, newly refurbished office space which is the perfect base for our expanding firm. Torphichen Street is ideally located in the heart of the capital, being close to the Exchange office district and Haymarket station, while enjoying 360 degree views across the city and placing us in close proximity to some of the capital’s biggest corporates.”
Dr Chapman added: “Our decision to move to the new office space was relatively late in the day and I am really pleased with how the team at Lindsays managed to address the conclusion of the lease quickly and efficiently.”
Other tenants in the refurbished development include Graham & Sibbald, Clearwater Analytics and Zonefox.
