We’re pleased to tell you that the Lindsays Cross Country Season is back.
In person and very much alive and kicking after the lockdown pause last season.
The first events of the Lindsays XC Season 2021/22 took place in October, reaching across the nation from Galashiels to Glasgow to Nairn, and will continue through the winter until the end of February. We’re very grateful for the hard work of venue operators, host clubs and volunteers who are making this possible.

It’s been a joy to see some familiar faces at the district events as well as newer faces who got serious about running during the pandemic.
We started sponsoring the Scottish Cross Country Season in 2014 and are committed to do so until the end of the 2022-23 season. We’ve long recognised the value of the sport’s contribution to people’s physical and mental health, and this has been highlighted more than ever by the experience of Covid-19 and social and physical distancing rules.
Congratulations to Ian Beattie MBE
Ian Beattie, our Chief Operating Officer, has been named as the new Chair of UK Athletics. He previously had the same role at scottishathletics, where he had served as chair for nine years since 2012.
"It's an exciting time to be taking on the role" says Ian, "and I look forward to helping UK Athletics provide a positive environment for athletes, coaches, officials and everyone else involved in the sport."
Currently a member and endurance coach of Harmeny Athletic Club, Ian is also Race Director of the West Highland Way Race. He's completed the event eight times, in addition to running more than 100 marathons and 100 half marathons.
Our Chairman Peter Tweedie adds: "Everyone at the firm is delighted for Ian, who is a important part of our team. As a business, we are proud supporters of athletics in Scotland and wish him every success in this important and exciting role."
