Clare Wilson is a Partner in our Commercial Property team.

She deals with a broad range of transactions across multiple sectors, including commercial acquisitions and disposals, leasing for landlords and tenants, investment portfolio management, and corporate support.

Through her long experience of advising on transactions involving hotels, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs, Clare has in-depth knowledge of the specific legal issues facing the leisure and hospitality sector.

She also acts for both landowners and developers in substantial development transactions. These include student accommodation projects, and site assembly and strategic planning for residential developments.

She has also been involved in a number of high-profile office leases, including several of Scotland's largest leasing deals of 2023/24 and the winner of CoStar's lease of the year in Scotland.

  • Acting in the sublet of approx 28,000 sq ft of Grade A office space, one of the largest Scottish leasing deals of 2023.
  • Acquiring and then disposing of a portfolio of pubs in Edinburgh for a well-known operator.
  • Advising on the Scottish aspects of a cross-border corporate support deal valued at approx £16.5m, which involved working closely with the client’s English legal advisers.
  • Working on the acquisition and disposal of a prominent student accommodation development project in Glasgow.
  • Acting in the sale of a retail investment property for £16.8m.
