Fiona is a Director in our Commercial Property group with over 18 years' experience in the sector, including 4 years in-house for a UK Clearing Bank and 5 years at a major London based firm.
She practises in all areas of commercial property but has significant experience in secured lending, property support on corporate transactions and commercial leasing. She has acted for a broad range of clients from PLC companies and banks to private individuals. More recently her focus has been on clients within the charity and education sector, most notably acting for the University of Edinburgh in relation to the Edinburgh Bioquarter and merger with the Roslin Institute, and various charities involved in the restoration of historic buildings, in particular Scottish Historic Buildings Trust.
Fiona's strength is her ability to recognise the important points in a commercial deal, a skill acquired from working in-house for a UK clearing bank.
Fiona is a Trustee of Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, an organisation which aims to transform the experiences of children and young people in hospital and healthcare settings in Edinburgh and the Lothians.
"Fiona Linklater is described as being 'knowledgeable and extremely personable'."
