Forbes is a Consultant in our Commercial Property team. With more than 30 years' experience advising businesses, investors and landowners, Forbes has established a strong track record in complex commercial property transactions and strategic real estate matters.
His practice encompasses commercial property leasing, real estate development, investment acquisitions and disposals, and owner-occupier transactions. He is regularly instructed on large-scale land development projects throughout Scotland, helping clients manage opportunities, risks and long-term objectives.
Forbes has particular expertise in commercial real estate development, landlord and tenant matters, corporate acquisitions and disposals, planning issues, property dispute resolution and real estate finance. His breadth of experience enables him to provide commercially astute advice across all stages of a transaction.
In recent years, he has advised on a number of substantial sporting estate deals, including matters involving forestry land and Land Carbon Credit Agreements including Peatland restoration.
Forbes is also highly experienced in leisure property, acting for banks, landlords and financial institutions in connection with secured lending and the taking of security over specialist property assets.
