Heather uses her experience in dispute resolution to support clients through divorce, separation, and other family law issues

Heather Maltman is a Senior Solicitor in our Family Law team.

She supports people on a wide range of family matter law issues including divorce, separation agreements, care arrangements for children, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements.

In protecting her clients’ interests, she can call on extensive advocacy experience, including regularly appearing in the Sheriff Court and instructing Counsel in the Court of Session. She also has wide experience of advising individuals and families on contentious executries, problems with Wills, and other private client issues – adding to her understanding of how to handle sensitive family situations.

Heather gained her LLB in 2019 and her Diploma in 2020 and joined Lindsays in September 2022.

Before becoming a Solicitor, Heather worked in policing and local government housing and draws on this experience when supporting clients.

Heather is a Notary Public and is certified in Trauma Informed Law.
