Jamie McGill is an Associate in our Personal Injury team based in Edinburgh. He regularly acts for Pursuers in the Sheriff Courts, the All Scotland Personal Injury Court, and the Court of Session.

Jamie is instructed in a broad range of personal injury matters, including complex litigation and high‑value injury claims. He has experience acting in cases arising from road traffic accidents, accidents at work and occupiers’ liability, and is regularly involved in cases where liability and medical causation are in dispute. He places a strong emphasis on building relationships with his clients and taking the time to understand the impact an injury has had on their lives, enabling him to provide clear and tailored advice throughout the litigation process.

Jamie is a Member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL), the Scottish Young Lawyers Association, and an Affiliate Member of the WS Society.

  • Obtained £200,000 in damages for a family in connection with the death of their baby.
  • Obtained £100,000 of damages for a dental negligence client who developed FND.
  • Successfully represented a client at Proof (hearing on evidence) to recover a five-figure sum in connection with a road traffic accident. This included discrediting the insurer’s independent witness.
