About Sophie

Sophie is undertaking a two-year traineeship within Lindsays and is currently a member of our Personal Injury Team in Glasgow. She will thereafter be moving into our Dispute Resolution and Litigation Team (DRL) and then subsequently into our Family Law Team.

Sophie obtained her First Class Dual Qualifying Scots and English Law LLB (Hons) from the University of Strathclyde in 2019. She then completed her Diploma in Professional Legal Practice at the University of Strathclyde the following year. The English Law element of her degree demonstrates her understanding of cross-jurisdictional matters and a desire to work in this ever-expanding area. In her honours year Sophie also received the Family Law Association Prize for the Highest Overall Mark for Family Law Honours. During her last two and a half years of study at university Sophie worked in Thompsons Solicitors and Solicitor Advocates taking statements from clients and witnesses of personal injury claims. Alongside this she would also analyse client’s medical records, looking for evidence and symptoms of injury and during her summer holidays she would work as a full-time admin assistant within the firm. These extensive roles provided her with a vast array of legal experience that shall be put to good use here within Lindsays Personal Injury Team.

Whilst studying at Strathclyde University Sophie also undertook summer placements in BTO Solicitors and Aberdein Considine, which provided her with early experience of an office environment, property law and employment law.
