From sport to art, we're supporting the causes we care about and encouraging others to connect with them too

At Lindsays, we've long invested in communities and causes close to us. It's all part of celebrating our Scottish roots and strengthening our connections with people, places, and the communities we work with.

Community sport

One way we do this is through our sponsorships of sport, culture, wellbeing activities, and local events. Our partnership with scottishathletics to sponsor the Scottish Cross Country Season is already one of the longest-running sponsorship agreements in Scottish sport, and we've now added further legs to it.

We've not only extended the agreement for a further four years, to 2029, but have expanded our support to cover the road race series. Our sponsorship includes seven Scottish National Championship events in road racing, and is branded the Lindsays Road Race Series.

"Given the longevity of our sponsorship of the Lindsays Cross Country Season, we are proud to see the way it has grown and the way in which clubs and individual runners enjoy and engage with it. That success makes it a natural step for us to get behind the road racing events as well, hopefully ensuring there is a pathway for even more people to share the camaraderie and competition of being part of Scotland's running community."

Olympian ambitions

One of the best-known members of the Scottish running community is record-breaking Olympian Eilish McColgan, who we have supported since 2013. We're now continuing our sponsorship until the end of the 2029 competition season, and looking forward to watching her in her bid to reach a fifth – yes, fifth – Olympic Games.

Eilish said,

"I'm really excited about what the next few years hold, with some completely new challenges for me on the road. Getting to the marathon in Los Angeles in 2028 is a big priority."

Backing the arts

Culture is another cause that we – and our clients – care about, and in spring we were very happy to sponsor an exhibition at Edinburgh's Dundas Street Gallery by artist Ryan McGoverne, who's also a commercial photographer. As a firm we have worked with Ryan for over a decade, so we're delighted to be able to support this side of his work. His paintings celebrate immersing yourself in nature, including though cold water swimming.

Attending the exhibition, Andrew Diamond, Managing Partner at Lindsays, said,

"This really is an impressive and memorable collection of work. It's a great reminder of the amazing landscapes that we are blessed to have – and how taking time away from our screens to enjoy it can make a positive difference to our lives."

Lindsays has a strong track record of supporting the arts, including Van Gogh Alive with SAMH, Art Friends of St Columba's Hospice, and the ArTay exhibition in Perth, which is part of the city's annual Festival of the Arts.
