We are delighted to welcome six new trainee solicitors as they begin the next stage of their legal careers with Lindsays.
The new recruits have started work across our four city offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee and Perth, taking the total number of trainees at Lindsays to 13.
Their arrival comes as eight colleagues who have successfully completed Lindsays’ two-year training programme take the next step into permanent roles as newly qualified solicitors with the firm.
The new recruits are:
- Cameron Murphy, Private Client, Glasgow
- Marsha Smith, Employment, Edinburgh
- Nadia Blaikie, Rural - Land and Business, Edinburgh
- Nicola Martin, Corporate, Glasgow
- Ryan McGill, Residential Conveyancing, Perth
- Summer Bell, Private Client, Dundee
Over the next two years, each trainee will gain experience across a range of practice areas, developing their skills while working alongside colleagues throughout the firm.
Our Managing Partner Andrew Diamond welcomed the trainees and congratulated those qualifying into permanent roles.
He said: “We are incredibly proud of our training programme and the wealth of talent that it has helped nurture over many years, with a number of our Partners having been with us since they were trainees.
“It is fantastic both to welcome the new trainees and to see our newly qualified solicitors taking the next steps in their legal careers with us.
“Continued professional development is fundamental to the firm and its success. With our trainees, we ensure they gain a solid grounding not just about the law in practice and how it impacts on lives and businesses, but also from the people-first Lindsays way of working.”
The lawyers who have completed their training and secured permanent positions with Lindsays are Cheryl McDonald, Residential Conveyancing, Perth; Evie Campbell, Corporate, Glasgow; Kara Valentine, Corporate, Edinburgh; Kathryn Short, Private Client, Glasgow; Kirstie Cameron, Private Client, Dundee; Rachel Lind, Private Client, Edinburgh; Rebecca Nally, Employment, Glasgow; and Summer Meekison, Private Client, Edinburgh.
A further eight trainees, along with two newly qualified solicitors, will join Lindsays as part of the firm’s merger with Dallas Macmillan in Glasgow, which takes effect on 1 September.
