A new cohort of trainee solicitors have taken a significant step in their careers as they begin their roles with Lindsays.
The seven-strong intake started work with us this week following a competitive recruitment process which attracted a high calibre of candidates. They have taken up posts across a number of departments in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dundee and their arrival takes the number of trainees currently with the firm to 15.
They are:
- Matthew Sheppard, Employment, Glasgow
- Prath Chandrarajah, Corporate, Glasgow
- Alexander Fraser, Residential Conveyancing , Edinburgh
- Susannah Buchanan, Private Client, Edinburgh
- Hannah Rhodes, Residential Property, Dundee
- Ayla Asif, Private Client, Dundee
- Kirsty McLeod, Rural, Edinburgh
Over the next two years, each trainee will gain experience working across a range of different areas of law.
They are the first to be welcomed to the firm by our new Managing Partner, Andrew Diamond.
Andrew said: “Continued investment in the talent emerging within the Scottish legal profession is critical. We have a well-earned reputation at Lindsays for the quality of training that we provide.
“We pride ourselves on the professional development we offer our lawyers at all stages of their careers. But, particularly with our trainees, we ensure they gain a solid grounding not just about the law in practice and how it impacts on lives and businesses, but also from the people-first focus that we have on all of our work at Lindsays.
“With that ethos - and the opportunities we work hard to create - it is no coincidence that many of our Partners have been with us since they were trainees.”
As well as the new intake of trainees, four lawyers who have completed their traineeships with Lindsays have now secured permanent positions with us. They are: Dylan Ackerley (Commercial Property, Edinburgh), Scott Briggs (Personal Injury, Glasgow), Michael Higgins (Family, Glasgow) and Jennifer Philip (Rural - Land and Business, Dundee).
