Two new partners join our Commercial Property and Private Client teams respectively, strengthening our ability to meet rising demand for advice in these key areas.
In a positive start to 2026, we are delighted to welcome two new Partners to Lindsays this week. Commercial Property lawyer Stephanie Nichol and Private Client lawyer Rob McNab are both based in our Edinburgh office and their appointments take the number of Partners in our firm to 56. They join at a time when demand for advice in each of their areas of practice is growing.
Managing Partner Andrew Diamond said: “What better way to start the new working year than by welcoming two new Partners?
“Making strong strategic hires like Stephanie and Rob is a key part of our growth plan for the firm. Both are high calibre lawyers whose arrival speaks volumes about Lindsays, our ethos and our ambition. I’m very much looking forward to working with them.”
Stephanie joins Lindsays from Balfour and Manson, where she was also a Partner. She brings more than 25 years of experience across the full spectrum of commercial property law, including providing in-house support in the public sector and advising on high-value transactions.
Stephanie said: “I’m excited to be joining Lindsays. The Commercial Property team has such a strong reputation and the way that the firm works - building strong relationships with their clients - was a real attraction for me.
“I very much enjoy that part of the job, along with the variety that Commercial Property work brings. I enjoy being part of my clients’ business journey and working closely with them to help them achieve their goals.”
A member of the Investment Property Forum, Stephanie believes the outlook for the Commercial Property market in 2026 is strong. She brings with her experience working for landlords and tenants, investors and family businesses across a wide range of sectors including leisure, hospitality and retail.
Rob joins Lindsays from Burness Paull, where he was a Director, and brings with him experience of advising clients, particularly owner-managed businesses, in private client matters including family succession and inheritance tax planning.
He said: “It’s great to be starting the year with a new challenge. Becoming a Partner in Lindsays is a fantastic opportunity and I’m really looking forward to being part of the team.
“I’m excited at the opportunities that there are to support the firm’s development.
“I really enjoy working with people and their families, assisting with matters including succession planning in businesses, as well as navigating the tax landscape, on which there has been significant attention following the UK Government changes to Inheritance Tax.”
Lindsays has welcomed further additions to its Commercial Property, Residential Property and Personal Injury Claims teams this week. Oliwia Osuch joins as a Commercial Property solicitor in Edinburgh, having previously worked at Balfour and Manson alongside Stephanie Nichol. Hannah Esdaile (Dundee) and Ross Simpson (Glasgow) join as solicitors in the Residential Property and Personal Injury teams respectively.
Lindsays has offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dundee, Perth and Crieff.
The firm rounded off 2025 with a significant investment in its Perth operation, moving from offices in Blackfriars Street to a modern new office space in Whitefriars Street.
