Chloe Wales has joined our team as a Senior Associate and her appointment reflects the continuing demand for our expertise and in-depth knowledge of the rural sector.
This news comes on the back of the triple promotion announced in the team earlier this month as three new directors were appointed from within the team. We are pleased to have more experienced lawyers than ever supporting landowners, farmers, crofters and renewable energy developers at this critical time in Scotland’s rural communities.
Michael Yellowlees, Partner and Head of our Rural – Land & Business team, said: “It’s fantastic to see our team growing - not just in numbers but strength too. Chloe’s arrival further enhances that.
“With rural enterprises balancing so many demands - from the overhaul of agricultural policy and challenges around Inheritance Tax to responding to the climate emergency - we are supporting record numbers of clients as people with all kinds of interest in land and countryside businesses across Scotland recognise the need for specialist support.”
Chloe said: “The range of legal issues facing people and businesses in this sector is broader and more complex than ever before. Navigating these matters requires thoughtful and informed decision-making.
“The team at Lindsays has an enviable reputation and can help unlock the potential in this sector - I’m thrilled to be part of the team.”
Previously part of the Rural team at Brodies, Chloe, who will be based in Edinburgh but working with clients across Scotland, has over 15 years of experience working with clients in this area.
Chloe has experience of providing advice regarding a wide range of rural property matters including purchase, sale and lease transactions for estates, farms and forestry. In addition, she has acted in connection with renewable energy projects and agricultural holdings.
