Eilish is a record-breaking Scottish Olympian and Lindsays is proud to have supported her since 2013. This new agreement continues our long-term sponsorship until the end of the 2029 competition season.
We are proud to announce that we are continuing our support for Eilish McColgan and look forward to watching her in her bid to reach a fifth Olympic Games.
The record-breaking Dundee distance runner is already the only Scot to have competed in four Games. As she writes a new chapter of her career in road racing - the 34-year-old has her sights set on surpassing that achievement by competing in the marathon at Los Angeles in 2028.
Having sponsored the Commonwealth gold medallist since 2013 - our current agreement runs until the end of 2026 - we are delighted to back Eilish with three more years of support, running to the end of the 2029 competition season.
Eilish said: “I’m incredibly thankful for the support I’ve had from Lindsays over the years. Extending that means a lot to me personally.
“I’m really excited about what the next few years hold, with some completely new challenges for me on the road. Getting to the marathon in Los Angeles is a big priority.
“Over the years, Lindsays have made not just an investment in me as an athlete, but as a person. Their support has been constant, whether I’ve been on the podium or battling back from injuries. As an athlete, knowing I have support like that is a serious confidence boost.”
Eilish set a new Scottish best time as she made her debut in the London Marathon in April, breaking a record her mum, Liz, had held since 1997.
Lots of eyes are already on Eilish for next year, with both the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow - for which she is an ambassador - and the European Championships in Birmingham.
“There’s definitely a lot of excitement as we look ahead to next year,” she added. “There’s something really special about home championships, so we’ll see what they might hold for me.”
As well as supporting McColgan as an individual, we also provide legal support for her charity, Giving Back To Track, which supports up-and-coming Scottish athletes. And we have agreed with Eilish that we will continue support for this initiative for the same period.
Ian Beattie, our Chief Operating Officer, who is also the Chair of UK Athletics, said: “Eilish has been on a remarkable journey over the last 12 years that we’ve supported her - and we’re really pleased to be joining her on the next leg.
“Eilish does so much to inspire others, through her determination and achievements. She’s a tremendous ambassador for Scottish sport and an incredible role model for other athletes.”
