We are delighted to welcome Sophie Macphail to Lindsays as she joins our Employment team as a Senior Associate.
Sophie is a highly experienced lawyer with over a decade of experience providing advice on employment law matters to a wide range of clients, including charities, SMEs and individuals.
She regularly advises clients on disciplinary and grievance issues, redundancies, absence and performance management, contractual matters, negotiated exits, and settlement agreements. She has also represented clients at Tribunal in Scotland and has experience of cases relating to employment status.
Sophie has extensive experience delivering employment law advice on a fixed-fee basis, helping organisations access ongoing, practical support with cost certainty. This approach aligns closely with our own Prism service, which provides clear, commercially focused guidance for a predictable cost — enabling clients to manage workplace issues confidently and proactively.
Ben Doherty, Partner and Head of our Employment team said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Sophie to our team - her knowledge and experience will strengthen our employment law offering for clients.
“Sophie’s background in delivering high-quality, fixed-fee advice is an excellent fit with our prism model. The insight and practical perspective she brings will be invaluable to our clients, particularly given the considerable changes currently affecting employment legislation.”
