Caitlin is a Senior Solicitor in our Private Client team, based in Edinburgh.
Caitlin provides a full range of Private Client services to individuals, families and businesses including advising on succession planning, asset protection, Inheritance Tax, all aspects of Executry Administration, including post-death Inheritance Tax mitigation, and the creation and administration of Trusts.
Caitlin also advises clients on the drafting of Wills and Powers of Attorney regularly advises Executors and beneficiaries in the administration of estates, and Attorneys on their responsibilities and duties. Caitlin has a particular interest, and experience, in advising clients in complex and contentious estates, and those with international and business elements.
In addition to supporting her clients, Caitlin also supports the firm’s Chief Operating Officer and Data Protection Officer in advising the firm on regulatory and professional compliance matters.
Caitlin is a Solicitor Supervisor with the University of Edinburgh's Free Legal Advice Centre supporting current law students to deliver pro-bono advice to members of the local community. She is also a Foreign & Commonwealth Office registered Notary Public.
