Brent brings a wealth of experience and insight into any situation. A Solicitor Advocate since 2002, he holds a Masters in Mediation and Conflict Resolution and is an accredited mediator. Consistently recognised in legal directories since the late '90s, Brent's knowledge covers both commercial and regulatory disputes, ranging from contractual and company matters, to intellectual property, pensions, procurement challenges and human rights.

  • Brent was featured in the Times newspaper in April 2021 as Scottish lawyer of the week following a judicial review for 27 church leaders who successfully challenged the Scottish Government's unlawful blanket ban on public worship
  • Achieving a successful settlement with City of Edinburgh Council who, on the eve of trial, apologised and agreed to pay damages for discriminating against a religious group and infringing its human rights by unlawfully cancelling arrangements for a conference at the Usher Hall.
